CUTTING REQUIREMENTS:

• Cut sky background fabric 11" square

• Cut one each of background fabric and batting 16" square

• Cut 4 strips of accent border 1" x 12"

• Cut 4 strips of wide border 2 1/2" x 16"

• Cut 2 strips of binding fabric 2 1/2" x 42" and piece together to make one long strip.

1. Quick fuse appliqué pieces onto the RS of your background fabric in the following order:
   • Statute of Liberty: as numbered
   • Trumpet Player: shirt, face #1 & 2, hair, R hand (not fingers), R cuff, R sleeve, jacket, face #3, hat - crown then brim, sunglasses, trumpet - flared bell then tubing, fingers, L hand, L cuff, L sleeve.

   • Saxophone Player: head, eyebrow, hair, sunglasses, L cuff and sleeve, shirt, R cuff, jacket, R sleeve, hands with saxophone - place hand under sax bringing the R bottom fingers over the sax to fuse on top, L top fingers, lips.

2. When everything is in place, press completely.
3. Machine satin stitch or blanket stitch around all appliqué pieces using matching thread.
