Finished Size: 20" Pillow

Fun With Charms & Crazy 8's!
Aunt Grace Pillow

designed by Vicki Bellino of "Bloom Creek"

We loved Vicki Bellino's quilt and pillow projects sewn up in AUNT GRACE TIES ONE ON, AUNT GRACE SCRAPBAG 2007, and AUNT GRACE POLKA DOTS by Judie Rothermel, and we know you'll love them too! These fun, oversized motifs and classic coordinates explore the fun side of Aunt Grace. Vicki designed them with our Crazy 8's pre-cut 8-1/2" squares, but you can also recreate the look by cutting your own 5" and 8-1/2" squares from fabric.

See Quilt Project

Quilt Instructions:
  1. With right sides together, layer a cream 5" square on eight black/red charm squares. Sew ¼" on each side of the diagonal line. Cut apart on the drawn line and press to charm square. TIP: You may want to take a "scant" ¼" seam allowance for this step to ensure a 4-1/2" half-square triangle unit. Cut apart on drawn line and press to charm square. If necessary, square up to 4-1/2".
