Creative With Fabric Panels |
Fabric
panels are enjoying a resurgence in the quilting & crafting
world, giving us time-challenged quilters a head-start, coupled
with fresh creative possibilities that allow us to experiment
easily. For Spring 2009, Marcus Fabrics offers a great variety
of fabric panel designs, including nursery/juvenile, "pink
ribbon", Christmas, Halloween and winter themes. Here are a
few interchangeable ideas to jumpstart your next panel project!

Small Squares: |
- Fussy-cut 5" squares to add interest to existing
charm packs in matching colors.
- Use them as patch pockets on kids' clothing, smocks,
T-shirts, etc.
- Decoupage to small wooden boxes that are pre-painted to
match.
- Cut apart and use in the corners of a quilt
- Stitch or fuse a small square from the panel to a larger
muslin rectangle for a matching quilt label for the back.
